Five goals fewer against than the chances predicted and four more for, and a minus-7 anyway. The 12th percentile is a hard number to look at and it belongs to the assignment as much as to the man: he plays the most on a club that took 46.0 per cent of the shot attempts, against whoever the other club sends out.
The Finesse Game

He clears the front of his own net at 210 pounds. That the club still ranked 27th at suppressing chances is not a thing one defenceman can fix.
