The Finesse Game

The shot chart is why a thirty-six-year-old led this club in scoring. Fifty-five per cent of his unblocked attempts came from inside twenty feet, median 18, with only fourteen per cent from beyond forty.

He stopped shooting from the perimeter years ago and now scores almost entirely from the slot, which is what a finisher does when the first step goes. Twenty-six goals from 264 tries.
