21 assists is a career-typical number and it comes entirely from the first pass, which is short, early and correct. He does not carry the puck out and the club does not want him to.
The Physical Game
6-3 and 207 and among the most reliable defensive defencemen in the league. He blocks shots, he clears the front of his own net, and he defends the rush by standing men up at the blue line.
31 penalty minutes in 82 games at twenty-one minutes a night is a low rate. He is very rarely beaten badly enough to reach, and he is the club’s first-unit penalty killer.
