Seven goals of scoring that did not arrive and four more conceded than the chances called for. A third pairing that held its own in the run of play and lost the goals, which on this club was the whole season.

He will fight anybody, clears the crease, and is hard to move from in front of it. He blocks shots and kills penalties, and a good deal of the eighty-one minutes is retaliation.

A second-round pick in 2014 out of Stockholm, six seasons across four organisations, and 17 points in 162 games. Ottawa gave up on him at 24 and he did not play an NHL game for two seasons after that.
He is 28 and last season was the first full one of his career. Eighty-two games at thirteen minutes is exactly the job and he did it.
