The skill is ordinary and the placement is not. He goes to the net, he takes what is available in the paint, and he converted at 10.9 per cent doing it.
The Physical Game
6-0 and 184 and among the most irritating players in the league to line up against. He hits people who outweigh him, he talks, and he draws the response.
60 penalty minutes in 78 games is the cost of it, and a fair amount of that total is the second penalty in a sequence he started. The club accepts the trade because the first one is usually somebody else’s.
The Intangibles
Twenty-eighth overall in 2020 and the son of a long-time professional. He is 23, 170 games in, and has already made himself a permanent enemy of the club Ottawa played in the first round.
There is no version of this player that works if he stops. The whole of his value is that he will not.
