He is small and quick and plays an aggressive, angular game, coming out to the top of the paint and cutting the shot down rather than waiting for it. The recovery across the crease is very fast and the trade is that when he reads a play wrong there is nothing left behind him.

He went .9269 in his first 32 games and has been between .8938 and .9127 in every season since, which is the whole argument about him: he is either the best goaltender on the ice or the reason his club lost, and there is very little in between.
