It is the best rate posted by any goaltender on any roster in this chapter, and there were sixteen games of it. He has not played sixty in a season since 2019-20.
The Physical Game
6-4 and 229, and he plays deep and large. He sets in the crease and lets the frame take the top of the net away rather than moving for it, and he is square almost without exception — there is very little wasted motion and almost no reaching.
The rebound control is very good and it is the method: he absorbs rather than deflects, and the second chance does not arrive. The puck-handling is competent and he will play it behind the net.
The style is the least athletic in this chapter and it is also the most efficient, which is what a 35-year-old with this injury record needs.
