42.1 per cent at five-on-five, the 6th percentile among all skaters. His on-ice goals were 28-34 against an expected 21-28, so the goaltending covered part of it and the underlying play was as bad as the share suggests.
The Finesse Game
The skating is genuine — quick feet, good acceleration, and the ability to recover on a backcheck. It is the only NHL-standard tool here at present.
41 shots in 75 games is almost nothing, and 12 points is a fourth-liner’s total in a fourth-liner’s minutes. The junior and international scoring has not translated at all, and there is no sign yet of a shot or a passing game that will change that.

The honest reading of a 6th-percentile chance share over 744 minutes is that he is not yet an NHL player. The skating is real enough to keep giving him chances, and Boston is a club with the ice time available to find out.
