A 49.2 per cent chance share, with on-ice goals of 35-42 against an expected 36.13-37.24. The team result was ordinary and his personal one was not, and the 96 attempts are the problem hiding inside a 20-goal season.
The Finesse Game
40 per cent of his shots came from inside 20 feet at a median of 26, so the location is good — but 96 attempts in 75 games at seventeen minutes a night is very low volume for a man who scored twenty.
20.83 per cent is not a repeatable number. He shoots when the chance is genuine, which is a virtue, and he will need considerably more of them to score twenty again. The skating is good and he forechecks well and he is better without the puck than with it.
The Physical Game
6-1 and 208 and honest rather than heavy. He goes into the corners and does not punish anybody there.
8 penalty minutes in 75 games is one of the lowest rates in this edition at any position — a winger who is never late and never reaching, on a club whose penalty kill finished 31st.
The Intangibles

He is 24 and just scored twenty goals. The shooting percentage says the next season will look worse and the age says it might not, and that is a genuinely open question rather than a rhetorical one.
