54.3 per cent at five-on-five, the 88th percentile — the third-best figure among the club’s forwards. His on-ice goals were 29-31 against an expected 28.6-24.1, so the results ran worse than the play.
The Finesse Game
A skilled, patient centre whose value has never shown up in a box score. 91 shots and 6 goals at 6.6 per cent, and 16 assists — the finishing has never arrived at any level of professional hockey.
The passing and the puck protection are genuinely good and the chance share says the shifts go the right way. He does not shoot enough and defers when a play is available.
The Physical Game
6-3 and 201, and he does not play to it. He protects the puck adequately and does not forecheck with weight or win many battles below the goal line.
