A league-average season behind a club that made the playoffs. 3 shutouts in 30 games is the interesting line — he has a habit of producing one excellent night in a run of ordinary ones.
The Physical Game
6-3 and 200, and the game is positional and unhurried. He is square, plays a fairly deep crease, and relies on the chance being ordinary rather than on making a save nobody else would.
The lateral movement is adequate rather than quick and the rebound control is the weaker half. Behind a club that concedes as little as this one, neither is likely to be exposed often.
The Mental Game
Eleven professional seasons, six organisations, a decade of being waived and claimed, and a genuine NHL job at 30 after most people had stopped expecting one.
