The Finesse Game

The shot is the most productive weapon in the history of the sport and it has not changed in twenty-one years. Three hundred and ninety unblocked attempts — the most on the club — from a median of 36 feet, with only 27 per cent from inside twenty and 34 per cent from beyond forty.

That is the office: the left circle, the same release, the same result. Thirty goals came out of it at forty years old.

Thirty-two assists is a fair number and has never been the point.

The Physical Game
