All 82 games, 24 goals and 27 assists for 51 points, 5 on the power play, 2 shorthanded, 37 penalty minutes, 16:51 a night and plus-9. He took 47.9 per cent of the expected goals at five-on-five over 1,024 minutes, the 37th percentile, and his ice went 46-37 against an expectation of 39.93-43.48.
Six goals above expectation at one end and six fewer conceded than the chances called for at the other, which on this club makes him one of the few forwards outside the first line whose results beat his play. The 37th percentile is the lowest chance share of any regular forward here.
The Finesse Game
140 shots at a median of 23 feet with 43 per cent from inside 20, converted at 17.1 per cent. That is a high rate on a low volume and it is roughly what he has always done.
He takes the defensive-zone draw that starts the shift. 530 points in 912 games at 17:43 a night is a second-line career played almost entirely against other clubs’ best.

He is hard to move off the puck in the slot and does not initiate anywhere else.

A third-round pick in 2008 out of Brantford, fourteen seasons, and 912 games. He has been a useful player on three clubs and has never been the reason any of them won or lost.
He kills penalties and has 16 career shorthanded goals, the most on this roster. At 34 that is the part of his game most likely to survive, and it is the part this club has the least of.
