There is almost none in the finishing — 4 goals on 114 attempts is a genuine inability rather than bad luck — and there is more than expected in the passing. 21 assists from a fourth-line role is a real total and comes from him winning pucks and moving them immediately.
He does not shoot well, does not carry the puck, and does not need to.
The Physical Game
6-2 and 173, which is extraordinarily light for the way he plays. He hits everything, he is in every scrum, and he is among the most genuinely disliked opponents in the league.
84 penalty minutes is the third-highest on the club. The frame is the concern — a man who plays this way at this weight will have seasons ended for him, and he has already missed significant time twice.
The Intangibles
A fourth-round pick out of Slovakia, three American League seasons, and an NHL job earned entirely on being impossible to play against.
The projection is a third-line agitator who kills penalties and takes too many of them. The 4 goals are the ceiling problem; there is no version of this player who scores 15.
