Adam Wilsby
Nashville Predators Defense
Fifteen assists from the third pair, and the best possession share of any Nashville defenceman.

Last Season
One goal and 15 assists in 58 games — 16 points, plus-two, at 17:01 a night. His first real NHL season, at 25.
The Finesse Game
A mover rather than a shooter. Ninety-one unblocked attempts from a median of 52 feet, thirteen per cent inside twenty, one goal.
Fifteen assists in 58 games from a third pair is a good rate and comes from a quick, accurate first pass under pressure. Twenty-one points in 81 career games.
The Physical Game
Six foot one and 188 pounds, which is light. Twenty-nine penalty minutes. He is not clearing a crease and he avoids the corners where he can; the defending is angles and stick.
The Intangibles
Forty-seven point three per cent of the expected goals, 29th percentile, and 50.9 per cent of the shot attempts, 65th — the best mark of any defenceman on the club, in 902 minutes.
On a blue line where Skjei sits at the 34th percentile in attempts, Perbix at the 29th and Lyubushkin arrives from the 3rd, that is worth something, and a fourth-round pick playing seventeen minutes at 25 is a fair outcome.
Four points in his last ten. He is 26 and this is probably his level: a puck-moving third-pair defenceman who does not sink a pair. Nashville needs several more of those before it needs anything else.
