He plays aggressively, meeting the shooter at the top of the crease rather than waiting in it — the only way a goaltender that size takes net away — and it costs him on the second play, where a larger man simply stays big.
The rebound control is the weakness and it is the thing standing between him and a job. The puck-handling is genuinely good: he leaves the crease to retrieve and starts the breakout himself.
