Daemon Hunt
Minnesota Wild Defense
A third-round defenceman getting his first real look, with no goals and not much evidence either way.

Last Season
No goals and six assists in 32 games on twelve and a half minutes a night, minus-three. Across 45 career games he has seven points.
The Finesse Game
The skating is the tool that got him here — he moves well in both directions and can escape a forecheck, which is the baseline requirement for a modern defenceman.
Nineteen shots in thirty-two games says a player being asked to keep things simple, and doing so. There is not enough offensive evidence to judge; what there is suggests a puck-mover rather than a producer.
The Physical Game
Six-one and 193, and he is willing without dominating. He can be out-muscled in front of his own net and holds up adequately on the wall.
The Intangibles
Twenty-four, a third-round pick, and now past the point where a defence prospect is developing rather than proving. The club gave him thirty-two games and did not appear to regret it.
Everything about him is still open. A third pairing on a team with an ageing right side is a real opportunity, and this is the season he either takes it or becomes organisational depth.
