Two goals and one assist in 31 games, plus-three, at 7:55 a night. Zero penalty minutes. He has not played an NHL game in the two seasons since.
The Finesse Game
Eighteen shots in 31 games. There is not enough here to describe a finesse game and it would be dishonest to invent one; he is a fourth-line forward getting under eight minutes, and what he does with them is skate, chase, and change.
The skating is the reason he has games at all. He is quick enough to forecheck and quick enough to get back.
The Physical Game
Five foot ten and 185 pounds in a league that has got taller, and no penalty minutes in 31 games. He is not winning pucks by force and does not try to.
The Intangibles
Not enough five-on-five ice time to produce an on-ice rate worth printing, which is itself the report. He is 27, undrafted, 41 career games in, and he is fighting for a thirteenth-forward job against younger men the club has reasons to prefer.
